Unique itinerary, including Sitka and Haines!
A land of rugged hills, rushing waters and undisturbed wildlife, Alaska is as big as it is wild. Whether you're watching whales splash in the Pacific Ocean or hike through this vast wilderness, Alaska is sure to quench any explorer's thirst.
Alive with the hum of high-energy adventure, Vancouver is a sophisticated cityscape on the edge of British Columbia’s wild interior. This multicultural city offers a bit of everything: big city buzz, sky-high mountains and Pacific beaches. If you’re a history buff you can view First Nations artifacts at the Museum of Anthropology. Take little ones to meet over 50,000 aquatic creatures at the Vancouver Aquarium, or get a bird’s eye view of old-growth forest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Horseshoe Bay salmon fishing… Granville Island paddle boarding… Grouse Mountain’s aerial tram— discover loads of outdoor adventure in Vancouver, from the bay to the backwoods.
Your ship offers the perfect platform for viewing British Columbia’s Inside Passage. This archipelago spans 25,000 miles from Seattle to Prince Rupert near the Alaskan border. Here you’ll ply calm waters sheltered between the British Columbia mainland and Vancouver Island. Along the way catch a glimpse of breathtakingly rugged scenery, plus staggering wildlife like salmon sharks, white spirit bears, and millions of seabirds.
Sitka truly offers the best of Alaska. Its small-town appeal stems from a unique blend of Russian, Tlingit and American history. Its snow-capped peaks and volcanic Mount Edgecumbe pose among the state’s most postcard-worthy scenes. And its rare wildlife astounds, from Saint Lazaria Island’s orange-beaked puffins to Alaska Maritime Refuge’s 40 million seabirds. This is off-the-path Alaska, where you can kayak Sitka Sound alongside swimming sea otters or fly-fish for the world’s biggest halibut. Whether it’s hiking Baranof Island trails or listening to tribal stories passed down for generations, in Sitka the midnight sun never sets on adventure.
Tracy Arm Fjord extends over 30 miles alongside the wilderness of Tongass National Forest. Sailing through this deep and narrow passage delivers some of the most breathtaking scenery you’ll find in Alaska. See active glaciers carved into 7,000-foot-tall mountain peaks and plunging waterfalls burrowed into evergreen-clad cliffs. Glimpse native wildlife and watch deep blue icebergs float past the ship.
You can’t get to Juneau easily without a sprint by air or by sea. But once you arrive you’ll find majestic views and rich culture in every corner. With its snowcapped mountains, misty rainforests, massive glaciers and bounty of wildlife, Alaska’s remote state capital is the perfect place to dive into nature. Framed by Mount Juneau and Mount Roberts, the city’s picturesque downtown area offers centuries-old bars, boutique shops and historic landmarks. For a taste of the local culture, visit the historic district and the Alaska State Museum. And for outdoor thrills, you can take your pick of activities ranging from whale watching in Auke Bay Harbor to tundra trekking over Mendenhall Glacier, and even try your hand at gold panning in Last Chance Basin.
If you’re looking for an authentic taste of wild, rugged adventure, a cruise to Haines, Alaska is just the ticket. Located less than 70 miles north of Juneau, along the continent’s longest and deepest fjord, Haines offers endless outdoor activities for intrepid explorers. Hike deep into misty coastal rainforests and ancient spruce woodlands. Set out on a rafting adventure along the rivers that thread the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Learn about the gold rush era at Fort William H. Seward. And discover the area’s rich cultural heritage at museums dedicated to the Native Tlingit People.
Ketchikan sits at the southern end of Alaska’s Inside Passage— a gateway to the wild landscapes and seascapes of Misty Fjords National Monument. The canned salmon capital of the world, it’s a hub for fishing and outdoor sports. It’s also home to three tribes of Northwest Coast Native Americans, making it a great place to get a taste for the local culture. You’ll see it in the colorful, hand-carved totems that line the city’s streets and parks, and in the unique stilted homes that cling to Deer Mountain’s slopes. If you want to get up close and personal with nature, venture into the Tongass National Forest, the largest in the United States. Or head to Ketchikan Creek Waterfall for amazing views of downtown Ketchikan and a glimpse at the yearly salmon runs.
A middle-age, young-at-heart, travel-loving couple
Daniela: Travel enthusiast, people-person, and explorer!
I am originally from Germany, and Europe will always have a special place in my heart. My motivation for becoming a travel advisor was simple: I love to travel, and I wanted to help others experience the joy and wonder of exploring new places. I am intrigued by new destinations and different cultures. My favorite vacations are traveling throughout Europe and cruising around the world. I enjoy family movie nights and meeting up with friends when time allows. I'm always on the move and love exploring new places.
David: My husband, the car guy, and a U.S. Army veteran!
This man loves cars and attends local car shows with his friends regularly. He served our great country for over ten years in the military as a Blackhawk crew chief, followed by a career change to the medical field. Since he left the Army, he has tirelessly worked to establish his civilian career and has enjoyed his job as a MRI Clinical Education Specialist for many years. He also loves exploring new destinations but enjoys taking things a bit slower and likes time to relax. Thanks to him, our vacations are nicely balanced.
Traveling is better with friends!

Please read the Q&A below to learn more about our hosted journeys.
Do you know everyone on your trips?
We have some repeat clients, friends, and family on our trips, but most travelers meet us and the group for the first time. You won't feel like an outsider and will likely make new lifelong friends.
Should we consider going if we have never traveled with a group?
Please do! We provide a good balance between scheduled activities and time to explore independently. Depending on the type of trip, you can stay with the group or go on your own. We encourage group activity participation, but you are not obligated to stay with us the entire time.
Do I have to participate in group activities?
All group activities are optional to attend.
Can you arrange components for us not included in your hosted journeys, like flights, travel insurance, etc.?
Absolutely! We are a full-service travel agency and will gladly handle all your travel needs. In addition, we can extend your stay if you would like to add some extra days for exploring on your own.
Will you offer the same trip again? The travel dates are not working for us.
I am sorry you won't be able to join us. Most likely, we will not repeat any of our trips. For some destinations, we might make exceptions and plan similar itineraries in the future.
Can I choose my stateroom?
We block group space of selected categories, not specific rooms. You can choose your room within our reserved categories (subject to availability).
I have friends or family members interested in joining!
We love referrals! Ask them to reach out to us and share the trip link with them. The best way to hear about new trip announcements and stay informed about travel-related topics is for them to join our newsletter using this link.
Will you offer only cruises for your hosted journeys?
We are advocate cruisers and believe it's a great way to travel as a group. However, we are open to planning land journeys at a later time.
Do you offer group excursions on your hosted cruises?
We do not want to limit our travelers because there are so many options available in every port. For that reason, we do not offer group excursions. We are happy to advise you on the different options if you need assistance.
Are hosted journeys all you do, or can you plan my vacation too?
Most definitely! Seabreeze and Sunshine Travels is a full-service travel agency passionate about helping people explore the world, and we'd love to custom-tailor your vacation.
